Who is the Heart Saver CPR/AED Course For?The American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Saver CPR/AED course is designed for anyone who has not undertaken formal training in the management of a case of sudden onset of cardiac arrest, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) or who has undertaken an AHA course and requires re-certification.
What is taught?
The Heart Saver AED Course teaches CPR, AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages.
The course is delivered over 4-4½ hours to a maximum group size of 10 participants to each instructor.

Is there an exam?There is ongoing evaluation of practical skills.
Do I get certified?
Yes. Your AHA certification is good for two years.
